Sofie  has had a lifelong love of fashion, jewellery and accessories. Browsing clothing stores and  jewellery shops looking for the perfect piece was one of her favourite pastimes.

In 2006, Sofie was becoming increasingly frustrated as it seemed that there was a lack of accessible jewellery that suited her needs. This gave her the drive to build her own presentation style jewellery and accessory business.

By 2007, Essjai Accessories opened its first boutique in Malvern. Melbourne Australia. Essjai presented a range of clothing, accessories, jewellery, shoes, homewares etc.

Since then Sofie has not looked back!

In 2014 we had out grown our space in Malvern and re located to a beautiful larger store in Toorak Rd, Camberwell (Burwood Village).

Essjai’s selections will always include the most current designs in the fashion industry. Many of the pieces in our clothing, shoe, handbag and accessories range, women can wear not just for one season, but year after year and always look fabulous and current!

Sofie loves to share these pieces with other women and give them the chance to feel truly beautiful.
